Our People

Dinu Harry

Hello.

My name is Dinu.

The term “passionate” isn’t one that you would normally associate with an accountant yet I am very passionate about improving my profession and the services that we are able to offer our clients.

That is why taking up the role of President of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZCIA) for the 2010 term was a no-brainer for me.

This and my involvement in many other oversight roles over the years, has given me a better understanding and greater appreciation of what good governance entails in today’s ever changing environment.

It’s been great seeing clients clearly benefit from these learning opportunities and to be able to share from my experience working in both private and public management and accounting roles over the years.

As a tutor at Massey University and member of the Council of Unitec, it has been just as wonderful helping students develop a passion for the profession.  I am also on the Board of Directors for The Public Trust, so no shortage of Board experience here !!

Whether you need advice concerning growth strategies such as mergers and acquisitions, advice about how a board can effectively operate… perhaps you represent a multinational company looking at establishing a subsidiary here in New Zealand… I hope my passion for the profession can be of benefit to you too!

Outside of work I am just as passionate about music and rugby. Nothing satisfies me more than a bit of Led Zep and the Rolling Stones, or seeing other countries try and emulate our success on the rugby field. It’s my two teenage daughters however who make sure I am kept well and truly grounded!
